A Letter written on Jun 2, 1936

Tues eve

Hello my darling:

Well it won't be long now before you will have told the crowd the glad news. I'd like to see there [sic] faces when you tell them.

Eddie and I just came back from his house. He had some things he wanted me to do on his car. I put some new hose connections on the engine and I put a fender guide with a light in it on. I did some other things to it so he is quite tickled with it.

I don't think I'll be able to come up to your graduation exercises much as I would like too [sic] but you know how things are. There are some things we all would like to do but you know we all can't do everything we want to do. Even though I can't be there you will know I am thinking of you and you can tell me all about it when you get home. If there is a chance of my coming up I'll be up with bells on.

I haven't struck a job yet but I know I'll get one soon as I certainly [could] use one. I feel a lot better now that I am feeling a lot better not working nights and getting my proper sleep. I'd rather not work nights and have my het health than sacrifice my health for a job. Excuse my writing but I can't seem to write to you decently tonight.

I hope you will think just as much of me if I don't come up as if I did.

I love you with all my heart and I miss you terribly. I can hardly wait until you get home.

Please write me and let me know how everything is

All my love and best wishes on your graduation
Tom
