A Letter written on Dec 2, 1936

Wed. eve.

Hello my darling:

Well at last I've got a breathing spell. It is nearly eight o'clock and I am waiting for my supper. We have been moving ever since Fri. and at last we have everything down here. I just brought the last load of odds and ends down.

Please forgive me for not writing before but I have been so busy every minute moving that there hasn't been a minute to spare and I have been too tired to write you a letter that was anway [sic] near decent. As soon as we get settled I'll get back to normal again. It is a terrible job to move and I hope we don't move for a good long time.

I recieved [sic] a letter from Al yesterday and he is fine. He wants to know if maybe we couldn't go out together when you are home. He also told me he has just recieved [sic] a raise. I guess he was quite tickled to get it and I don't blame him.

I was talking with Ed. for a few minutes last night and he told me that Marra's mother died Sun. night. She went to bed Sun. night and she never woke up. I am real sorry for the family because they are all alone now.

She is going to be buried in Torrington tomorrow.

I am sorry for what happened Thurs. night dear and I apoligize. [sic] When I fell downstairs I hurt my shoulder and that is why I felt that way. It is my fault that I flew off the handle. Just because I hurt my self I shouldn't have taken it out on you. I know you would [have] opened the trunk if you had understood what I wanted. Don't think I haven't written because of what happened Thurs. night because that is not the reason at all. This moving business has kept me going every minute.

My shoulder and neck has [sic] been pretty sore but I guess it will be O.K. in a day or two. I gave myself more of a bang than I thought I did.

I think of you all the time darling and just count the days till you will be home. I can hardly wait to see you.

I love you darling now and always

Always yours
Tom.

P.S. Write soon & I'll write again real soon. Don't forget 50 Daycoeton Place.
