A Letter written on Aug 6, 1937

Fri. after.

Hello dear.

Just recieved [sic] your card. I guess you are getting stingy with your paper but I forgive you this time. Write me a nice long letter soon dear. Have you recieved [sic] my letter alright. I have written two already and you should have recieved [sic] them before now.

Keep up the good work because the more you can learn now the less you will have to practice on me. ha ha. Better hurry up and come home because I have some more money to give you. If you wait too long I might not have it. If I give it to you as soon as I get it I don't have any temptations to spend it. We've got to save as much as we can before next summer. We've just got to be married by that time dear. I think it would be better all around if we were even though we did have hard going for a year or so. At least we would have each other.

Guess this will have to be the last letter till Sun. night. Bill and I are going over camping tonight. My mother and father and the Crandlemires will come over tomorrow. So even if I did write I couldn't mail it till then. Please write me as often as you can dear. You don't realize what a big difference it makes to hear from you each day.

Shall I try and get the money back from Eleanor Mon. I don't think I'll be using them. If you were here I'd be glad to go but I don't feel like going alone. Let me know definatly [sic] what I should do about them.

I hope your grandfather is better when this letter reaches you dear.

Did a good days work today but it was pretty hot. Is it very hot out there.

Hope my mother brings me over a letter tomorrow when she comes. I'll write you a letter Sun. night when I come home.

I am being good dear.

All my love darling
Tom.

P.S. I'll be all alone tonight and I wish you could be there with me

Love Tom
