Dear Susie,
Evangeline was much pleased with her nice little letter from you.
I heard from Mary yesterday[.] She enclosed a letter from Aunt Mattie which she wished me to forward to you. Poor Uncle Robert had a close call. He was very fortunate to escape as well as he did.
We have all been having colds here but are recovering. Dedie is feeling quite poorly now and is in bed a good deal of the time. She was able to give me 32 spanks this morning and one to grow on.
Evangeline is so apt to get cold that we do not have her go to school now. She has lessons at home and is getting on well[.]
I hope your work is progressing nicely. Write to us once in a while about it.
I attended a very good meeting of the Danielson C. E. Union at Danielson yesterday. We had the meeting of our Univ. Ass'n yesterday evening.
Evangeline says "Thank Aunt Susie for her letter and the kisses and tell her I will write to her".
With love
Harvey.
