A Letter written on Feb 1, 1900

Norton Mass
February 1 - 1900

Dear Miss Lawson,

I found out quite accidently [sic] that you were teaching in Mansfield and thought I would notify you, (altho' you may already know it) that in the next town resides an old H.F.H.S. scholar that attended school at the same time you did although not in the same class[.] It seems so good to hear of one of the scholars so near me that I could not refrain from sending this.

I have been in Norton ever since I left school & am now settled down with a husband & home of my own.

If it is so you can Mr Sweet & myself would be very much pleased to see you in Norton in the near future.

If you come to Norton & then take the car to Attleboro any of the conductors know where we live.

There are quite a number of the H.F.H.S. scholars about here now.

Mrs Locke (Margaret's mother) was out to see me a short time ago.

But I won't scribble any more but stop hoping to see you soon.

With best wishes
Yours Sincerely
Mrs. Austin M. Sweet
(nee Mary A. Cowles)
