My dear Carrie, -

Your letter was just like you, that is it was just like your sweet self to write me so soon, and as you, my bridesmaid, were the first to call me by my new name, and also the first to write me I am making it a point to write to you first, as I have not signed the name I obtained the other day. After we left you all that day we enjoyed a pleasant ride to Lowell with Win, then went as far as Woburn with him. After that we came on to Boston where we stayed till 9.30 the next morning. We stopped in So. Framingham long enough to get some groceries and reached here at 12.30. We found the Baileys eating dinner, and they kindly gave us some, and also left enough for our supper, of course we were not sorry. That P.M. Harry went to the Station for goods, and brought Auntie. You may know I was real glad to see her, and though we have been extremely busy, as she will tell you, I have more than enjoyed her being here.

I must tell you that I like here very much and know I shall better and better. You must ask Auntie if we went to church and why not. I was somewhat surprised to be already and not to go.

I am getting settled by degrees and when you hear I am situated in good style I shall want you to come and see me for a good long while - this invite is extended to Mary too. Harry was saying at supper to-night that Mary is to come for three weeks. Look at the postage we are saving on our letters, aren't we? I wish Auntie were going to stay longer but I am grateful for this kindness, as well as a thousand others she has rendered me lately and heretofore. Harry and I were very happy on our wedding day for all passed off so perfectly. We said we never heard Mary play so well before, so full of feeling and music too.

I thank you and all for all your sweet thoughtfulness and kindnesses and Harry joins me in sending love to you all.

Your own Helen A. Russell.
