June 7, 1907.Dear friend Carrie:-
Doubtless you received my postal card which I mailed a few days ago. I must tell you the experience it had, when I put it into the office I forgot to stamp it. Bessie Wheeler who is one of the clerks read it and knew who L. W. R. was and of course it was put in my box to be stamped. No harm done just delayed a little.
I would like to have you attend graduation exercises with me and also the consert [sic] in the evening[.] I will make arrangements similiar [sic] to what I did in March, and if you have not made other arrangements I shall be glad to have you and Mary take tea with us also Miss Center if she can come at that time. I would not be very much surprised if Harry was home in time to attend graduation, however I hope it will be so Miss Center can come we do have such glorious times at commencement.
My case has not come off in the Superior court yet but I won a case in the Police Court two weeks ago this morning. Mrs. Desmarais sued her husband for more support, and I appeared for Mr. Desmarais and got him discharged.
I hear George Seavy has the mumps[.] I can sympathysize [sic] with him for I had them when I was in the Grammar School and seemes [sic] as though I was never so sick in my life.
Please excuse this hastily written letter also the stationary [sic], for I am in the office and have no other.
Your friend,
Lester W. Russell.
