West Derry, N. H.
March, 11, 1907.Dear friend Carrie:-
I was very glad to receive your acceptance of my invitation, and am looking forward to a very pleasant time on March twenyfirst [sic]. I have engaged a room at Hildreth Hall for you, and would like to have you take tea with us, if you should come up on the express in the P. M. I will meet you at the station and you could go down to the house then and stay until the time set for the play. If you however have any other plan which would be more agreeable to you, it will be preferable to me.
Arn't [sic] we having beautiful March weather, seemes [sic] to me as though we had March winds all through the month of February.
I wounder [sic] if you have such lively times in town politics as we do here, there are four sets of candidates up for selectmen. I realy [sic] shall be very glad when town meeting is over, for I am very tired of hering [sic] nothing but politics, although as a general rule most lawyers are more or less interested in politics.
Hoping we will have a pleasant evening March 21, by the way you know if it is stormy March 21 it is understood that the play will not be untill [sic] Friday evening.
Your friend,
Lester W. Russell.
