A Letter from Dr. Elliott Joslin
to Carrie Gowing
Nov 18, 1906

18 Nov. '06.

My dear Miss Gowing:-

I am very glad that you have felt better and gained weight. In my opinion you can gain much more in every way. The great point to aim at is to get an abundance of vegetables and I know that is hard for you. I should be glad for you to spend two or three weeks down here so I could hear you under closer observation for I think that I could thus give you helpful suggestions. At present I am in a much better position to follow your case intelligently than when I first saw you as the facilities at the Medical School are better.-

Can you at some time come down?

I regret that there is so much delay about replying to your letters, but I like to get the final reports of the Analysis of the urine.

Sincerely yours -
Elliott P. Joslin -
