Letter Written on Dec 8, 1921

Wenham, Dec. 8. 1921.

Dear Cousin,

I miss my dear brother so much, but do not wish him back to suffer as he had for the last 4 weeks. He had been up every day until Tuhrsday, when he went to bed. That night it was all two men could do to manage him, and Friday he was taken to Hospital at 9 o'clock, and passed away at 9. Sat. A.M.

I know you must miss your dear mother. Excuse my not writting [sic] more. My hands are badly swollen with Rheumatism, and I can hardly hold my pen. Mrs. Brown who was with me nearly 2 yrs. is with me, and will probably stay this winter. Love to you, and write to me sometime,

Cousin Lizzie.
