Wenham, Mar. 6thDear Cousin,
How have you been this cold winter and it has been so icy. Mrs. Brown who is with me, fell on the ice, in the yard, breaking her arm. It was so terribly swollen before the Dr. and District Nurse, came that she had to be taken to Beverly Hospital to have the X Ray applied before it could be set. The Nurse took her to the Hospital, and back, and the Dr. met them here, and she was etherized and her arm set. It is a very bad break, and it will be 4 or 5 weeks before she will be able to use it. Every body is so kind to us. We miss the dear one so much, but do not wish him back to suffer as he did the last month.
I am feeling pretty well, but am quite lame.
Excuse all mistakes.
With love,
Cousin Lizzie.
