Dearest darling Jeannettekins:-
Easter was such a wonderful day! My "poem" was (wonderful). When the doorbell rang I had a hunch something was coming from my darling and just what I wanted. It was lovely dearie, but I adored that last line. I was so unhappy Sat. until I had Mr. Barnes wire [?] those flowers, and then everything was alright.
Your father came up Sat. night and we had dinner to-gether. I was so tired that I decided to wait until morning to go to Owego. Your Special was well timed, coming about ten minutes before I left the house. Was'nt it a glorious day? Mama, Jane Arthur and I all went to church. I did'nt want to go, for my emotions get the better of me, but I could'nt refuse Mama. She was so happy. The others had given her potted plants, so after church Jane & I went to the Green house where I bought two geraniums for her and a nice heliotrope which Jennie told her you sent (as per my instructions) Mama said "Did Jeannette say she sent it" and we said "Yes." Well she was so pleased. She can't get over the fact that you remembered her wedding anniversary.
We were at Jane's all P.M. and enjoyed it a lot. An. Marj. and babe were in the country for the day. They came home at 6 P.M. The baby is darling.
Your letter was so good dearie. Mollie's letter was nice, and I'm thrilled to think you're going to movies etc.
What a nice wk. end you must have had! I wish that I had planned to come out for Easter. Don't know when I can come. This old book shop! Anna Bell is working, too, for Harriet Terwilliger.
Were many parents there for Easter? Did you go to chapel?
This letter is dumb, but what a place to write a letter. Almost an impossibility.
Will write you again, soon.
Oodles of love and billions of kisses from your darling
"Muddikins."I love my poem, because you wrote it dearie, and it's "you".
