Dearest darling Jeannette:-

O! I am so glad that you are still my baby girl! It was so sweet of you dearie to write me such a darling letter and take me in your confidence. Thank you so much.

You must have had a marvelous time, and I tried to be with you every minute, but the market kicked up again before I had a chance to sell, or better, before I did. And now I am just doing as 'I always' do hanging on. It's a great game. Don't worry.

I am so anxious to meet this said "Dick." The young man who dared to "spoon" (as we use[d] to say back in "'03") with my darling. To be frank with you, I expected it, but I'm "jelly". O! dear! Don't mind me will you dearie, because I love you more than any one in the world ever will. I just can't help it.

Your letter was so darling, I loved it beaucoup. Now about this wk-end, don't plan too much. I may not come until next wk. Have seen Mayday and then too, I want the market to settle a bit.

Sunday is Mother's day and I'd love to be with you but may go to Owego. Was down last Sun. and feel as tho' I ought to see Mama on that day.

The bus had stopped running (Sat. night) and I was waiting at Beers until 11.25. Walked to D.L. took train and then walked past Mama's (all dark) up E. Temple & back way to Janes. I was some tired Sun. Fritz had written Mama again for a "hundred" and she was so upset. She asked me if you had received her letter. You better write her. She is quite trying but its [sic] due to her health, I guess. Its [sic] hard to grow old, especially if you can't adjust yourself to different surroundings.

Your father is busy. Comes home every night now, and Sat. nights we eat to-gether.

Leonard was better, the last I heard. He has to stay isolated for a month.

Well, darling, its [sic] closing time, and I must say "Auf Wiedersehen" for the present. Will try to write again real soon.

For every kiss you gave Dick you will have to give me a million. Hows that? If I come to Holyoke this wk. will wire you, but it probably won't be until next.

Oodles of love and kisses
"Muddikins".

I have got to get myself a boy friend. Ha! Ha!
