Dearest Mother:
I listened to Gilbert Seldes tonight thru the static & tho't of the last time! How have you been? I wish I were there to give you moral support, but I am there in spirit. Met Mrs. John P. Kelley last night on street, and she wanted to be remembered, & me to phone and come to dinner some evening. Spoke so highly of you and your music. Said she was glad we were back. My trunk is in Margie's hallway until further notice. Shall get out my red P.J.'s tomorrow! Fritz & Olya have extended invitations for Christmas, & invested in china, glassware & silver. I met Mr. McG. in plant today and shook hands with him. Said I was glad to be back & he said he was glad to have me. Am reading very important job for Oxford U. P. [University Press] Margie finished her sweater tonight. I was disappointed in the king, weren't you? [King Edward VIII's abdication of the throne] How do you like W.W.? Joneses address 16 E 77th St. Phone Rh 48900. Buy anything you want & charge. Good Night. Good Luck!
