Nov. 4. 1935Dearest Peegee-Weegee,
Here I am in Owego until to-morrow. Am not staying down, only just long enough to do my business, which I hope to get done to-day.
Went to see "Nino Martini" in "Here's to Romance." which was very good. I loved "Schuman-Heink" [sic] - in it. She made me think so much of Mama. It's so remarkable to think a woman as old as she, can still sing so well. I still don't see why they had the first run at the Symphony unless it is because "Tibbett" opens this wk in "Metropolitan". See all the good things, won't you?
Then Florence Bailey & I went to John's and had our dinner (dutch treat), and it was very good.
Walked over home with her and Judy & his girl came about eight. So after taking me home to gather the cans, basket etc, left for Owego.
Found everything here, just the same. All well, Ez. is home this wk.
Am all dressed ready to go out. Have to see Addison Robinson, and go to Surrogate's court to get a certified copy of the will. Pay some bills etc.
Feel lots better all the time & am taking my pills faithfully.
Am so anxious to hear all about your week-end, and about your work. I will have to do some hustling won't I?
Tomorrow night is Zonta. Think I shall go, as Jane Mallette is putting on a play, and that should be fun.
Just think you have been gone two wks. and over. Time just flies. Does it seem possible?
Judy's girl came in last night and she tho't our ap't was so cozy. Wish I could move Warner's ap't down. Heat and all. It certainly has been very comfortable, has'nt it?
Owego had a "Mardi Gras" Thurs. night, and Jane won the first prize. She wore Lillian's rose colored bathing suit, with my big red hat. Black & white striped hose and mama's high shoes. She blacked up, wore some padding in her bust and seat, and carried a parasol, and wore grape earrings. Black stockings on arms & white gloves.
The prize was three dollars. She said they had a great time. Danced at Elks. About 1000 people were in the parade. Jane gets a great kick out of masking. Too bad Billy could'nt have been down.
Well darling, I must get down St., oodles of love and kisses from Auntie Jane & Ez. She (Jane) said she rec'd your card & would write you soon.
Bestest love from your
"Tillikins"Xillions of kisses.
