Dearest darling:-

Just left Zonta and hasten to write you a few lines before going home.

Jennie Mallette put on a play for Zonta as this is Zonta day all over I believe (15th anniversary) and it was very good. Ethel was'nt there, so old Till had to do the playing as usual.

Dorothy and Nina were there and Nina was very nice. Dorothy looked splendid.

Rec'd a box from Altmans' and have'nt opened it. It is here & carried it all way from P.O. Postman left a notice. Wonder who sent it! What is it? Will have to tell you about it to-morrow.

Came up from Owego at 4.30 this P.M. and bus was late. Pouring when I reached home and its [sic] still raining.

Did all my business in Owego, but only got 1/2 mon's rent at 71 Paige. Had to go there twice. I won't go into that. Got a certified copy of will at Surrogate's Court, and had the pleasure of hearing it proof-read twice. It must be coma [sic] perfect. That has to be sent to Smith bond people.

Jane & Ez. went to see "Anna Karenina" and I to pay bills, lawyers etc.

They met me as per Schedule, and Ez bo't a "Tom Collins". Had another one and went to Art's where we ravenously ate the remainder of Lydia's chicken left over from Sun. Started home, & Ez. took us in for another Collins, and then we had a hot roast beef Sand, french fried potatoes at the "Green Lantern". We had a grand time. I was still carrying some baby chrysanthemum's [sic] Mr. Thomas gave me, when I paid my bill.

I placed the flowers by your picture and to-night I have a yellow rose to put there too. Wish I could send them to you.

Am so glad you had such a fine time at Martha's. Will talk about that in my next letter.

Tho't surely I would hear before this whether you would stay at D.D.'s but they are going to be sure.

Saw Miss Benedict to-night and she never mentioned you at all. Your check was for $17.58 and enclosing the other, 15 cents short. [no longer with the letter] Well who cares. That was some Saturday. Yes I rec'd D.D. check and that one to-day. Thank you, dearie.

I love you beaucoup, millions
Muddykins.
