Sat. 4.30 P.M.Dearest darling:-
Rec'd two letters from you this morning for which I am so grateful, and that generous check! I just don't know what to say in appreciation of all you have done and still are doing for me. You know dearie how much I love you and maybe some day the old goose will lay some more eggs. If anyone can per(re?)form that miracle you are the one. Eh, what?
The letters you mail (are) at Garden City reach me in better time than others.
Will send you check to pay Dr. and you can let me know how you made it out and for exact am't. I do hope your ear will be better all the time. The Dr. told Violet Esties that it comes from a run down condition. So take it easy and don't stay up too late. Eat Eat Eat!
I sometimes wonder if that infection came from your throat and incidentally from that place back of your nose. Did you get faint the second time? Poor darling! What can I do about it? I love the train letters! I don't care where you write them as long as I get them.
Warm enough? O! the apt. is so warm. Will we ever find one as warm again? How is your room?
I hope to be out of apt. by the 16th and then I will go to Owego for a day or two, as Jane expects me. Will try to be down for Alice's dinner, but I am not so keen about it unless you really want me. Do what you think about it. Have a job. for N. Years night here and tho't if I had to come back could pay part of my fare that way. You see I would'nt be there the 4th of Jan. so don't worry about show.
Will put my things in storage here, until we make our decisions, and we will have to get to-gether for that. I do want to see you so much, darling, but O! its [sic] so hard to move away. I think the worst part is packing etc. When we get settled we will be so happy to be together. Won't we dearie? I am disgusted with myself too, that I put off packing but I wanted to be sure about things.
Have an ad. running in paper, but have'nt sold anything. People are looking at rooms. Mr. Warner is charging $37.50 for rent. Some jump is'nt it.
Will get something to wear before I leave, and perhaps a coat. My coat looks very badly now. It seems to look worse. Went in to Meyers. Tho't perhaps they could patch up the old one and they wanted $65.00. Can you imagine. Well my coat is genuine Seal he said.
I weight 153 lbs. Phew!!! Mama Klem the second only pulled out a little. Treyz came over yesterday and advised me. Sent over two barrells [sic] for dishes and 10 large cartons. They spray everything and are very good.
Rolled my kitchen rug up to-day and tied it, so its [sic] ready to go to Owego.
Its [sic] a good thing to move once in a while and then you can get rid of junk.
About Xmas! You must not get me a thing. What I get to wear, for which I hope to pay will be my Christmas. If you want to look around for some trifles for family you may, or perhaps we will send cards.
Helen called me last night and talked so long that I fell asleep. Can you imagine? She called me when I did'nt answer and said Have you gone to sleep? ha! ha!
Its [sic] very slippery and icy to-night. She's called me 3 times within the past hr. to tell me about cars that are stalled.
Well, sweetie-pie. I must close and go to corner to mail this. I love you - I love you - I love you - - - - - You are - the ideal - of my dreams.
Some one phoned and is coming to look at piano to-night.
Will see you soon darling and will I love you?????
All my love and billions of kisses
Muddikins.Please excuse haste.
