A Letter written on Jan 20, 1936

4.30 Mon. P.M. Jan. 20/36

Dearest darling Bigee-Wigee:-

Your sweet letter with a big fat check rec'd and thank you oh so much. The two letters in one were so interesting and I was so thrilled with their contents. I will pay your insurance to-morrow or Wednesday, and that will be taken care of, for the time being.

What would I do without you? Have been a different person since I rec'd the mail. Wondered if there was any mail at Marge's but she has'nt phoned.

Came down to Mrs. Moore's Fri P.M. and have had a very nice time. Leonard greeted me and I was so glad to see him, that tears of joy came to my eyes. What do you think of your "Tillikins" now? Emotionally I am just impossible, don't you think?

Leonard mixed a little drink for me, and then I was O.K. Ha! Ha!

The first morning I was here, Mrs Moore called up the stairs & said, "Tillie, you and Jeannette hurry up, the pancakes are ready" O! dear .... wish you were here.

Wanted to write before this but - radio and visiting was just too much. You understand, don't you dearie? Clyde has been here all day and the radio is going now, but I am trying to write just a few lines to keep you from getting too anxious about me.

Went up to see Dr. Andrews, and he said he would'nt keep the teeth in a wk if they were his. I may be toothless, ere long, and am very anxious to have it over so I can come to Hempstead. By the time I get there the family umbilical cord will be cut. Believe it or not!

Am going to the store-house to take brush handle left behind, and will try to get at trunk. Know which one your clothes are in. Will either send trunk or try to get dress etc. Please go to all the social things you can, but take good care of your health.

So glad your cold is gone and eat eat eat eat eat a lot. You know you are Lynnie's girl and he said he had to eat. (well I do too.) only its [sic] all going to waist. Can you feature that? Still weigh 150 lbs. tsck-tsck and the music goes round

Leonard and I have played checkers but I can't beat him. You know him.

Evelyn went to N.Y. Sun. morn. and Len hunting????? Mrs. Moore & I were alone all day and what a snow storm!!!!

Am leaving here to-morrow Tues., so you better mail letters to Owego. Don't worry if you don't hear from me as often as you did, because I am all over.

Expect to go to Zonta to-morrow night. Just imagine its [sic] my swan song. They have asked me to come to the meeting. Am going just as I am, with the green suit, because when my teeth are out, I should worry about clothes.

Went down to bank and put my safety box in order. Will probably take one in Hempstead, or wherever we decide to live, later.

Saw a marvelous picture, Fri. Took Margery, and don't miss it. "Crime and Punishment" with "Peter Lorre" and "Edward Arnold." Mavelous [sic] acting. Would like to see it again. Dostoevsky, need I say more?

One of the things we must see is Helen Hays [sic], when I get to N.Y.

You know I am going to do a Lindbergh and no one will know where I am. Will you be glad?

Am feeling so much better. My cough is nearly gone, and my ribs are very much much. Think I took cold in Owego.

Am going to get up early in morning and do my errands. Pay bills, etc. May stay with Cecile to-morrow night and then unless I go to Marge's which I don't expect, go to Owego Fri. Getting my house in order, so you can see how anxious I am to come. May give an accounting to the Estate and liquidate all stock etc.

Will see lawyer in a few days, as I am so anxious to settle things, Shall be so happy when once I can be my own self again, and live for my little peegee-weegee.

Mrs Moore and family send their very best to you. She is a peach! Will write in a day or so. Don't worry, please!!!!

Write checks [?], dearie. It does'nt matter. Teeth are cheaper here. Don't worry. Will send interest later.

Don't worry about D.D. or anything.

I love you - um - so much.
Billions of kisses.
Funny face. ???????

Took slip back, clerk dumb, got credit slip.

You worked so hard. Please don't worry about your work, will you? Your [sic] so wonderful. What care we about anyone Ha! Ha!
