Apr. 8/36Darling:-
E - E!!! Your letter came at 8.30. Wonderful? All excited. First excursion train leaves here Thurs. at midnight, so will leave here Fri morn at 7.52 A.M. arriving in N.Y. at 2.30 P.M. and will be waiting for you at Y.W.C.A. address you gave me. You can make reservation & if we can't get in there, well we may go to "Waldorf". I am in one of those reckless "European" moods. 'Member?
You told me not to be poor any more, so I am following your advise. [sic]
Jane is all excited too. Wish she could go, but she will be down, never fear. I have been singing "before breakfast" "I'm putting all my eggs in one basket" reckless????
Be sure and come to Y.W. Fri after work. Don't stub your toe, or forget glasses.
Is'nt it grand? O! dear!! Am so excited. Would like to surprise you, but this is better. Don't get too excited! Go to bed early & rest up.
All my love & kisses
