Friday P.M.Dearest darling sweetheart Jeannettekins:-
Did I love your letter? It was precious! After I left you, walked to Glessie's. Had lunch (got telegrams first) and saw Peggy, who would have taken me in to Spring. I told her I was riding in, only to find out the people (Buckley's) were taking the Street car. Your tickets came in handy. They helped me on train with baggage (and were very nice.[)] Checked trunks then on your Spring. ticket, and found out at S. that I should'nt have checked them, but Mr G. phoned Boston, redeemed ticket and everything was O.K. Reached Albany at 7. It was raining. Waited in Station, visiting the book shoppe, and reached home 4.15 A.M.
Went to Marj's for money and had breakfast. Then to Bank, and put up your I.T.T and my E. Bond. & share Stock, which was all right. You will please sign your name where the x is, and return to me. I was so glad that was taken care of. They were very nice in the Bank. Marj. did very well, and only took six dollars. (and did'nt want to take that.).
Found Phil's letter yesterday but could'nt foward it, as I did'nt know Irene's address.
Before I forget it put your twelve dollars in your checking acc't, so put that in your book.
Dearie, I am still in the clouds. Just can't come down to earth. It was so grand and thrilling and I love you so much. If I could only make you have that same feeling. I have been "all-a-quiver". That was the best investment I ever made. O dear!
Liked all the families so much[.] Were'nt the "Gleasons" nice. How about the picture? Tell Mrs G. I got home with the reed basket alright. O, we mother's! [sic]
When I got on the Street car there was Mr Fleming driving away with what was left of his shoe stock. His place closed for the summer. It does'nt take long to clear out.
Don't worry about the "honors" dearie. You did beautifully and I love you more than ever. Tell Mr. Gleason he can't have you to-day.
Anthony's birthday is to-day. He said "Jeannette forgot me." That's always the way. Each one wants to be remembered on his day.
Have stayed at Marj's ever since I returned. Billy is still in Owego, and she meets me and gets my dinner. We are expecting Jane to-day. It's nearly six and Marj. went home, to be there if she came.
Aunt Nettie was up yesterday, and bro't you a gift. I imagine they will come in driblets. mine will come soon. Jane will finish. Oodles of love and kisses
Muddikins.
