A Letter written on Mar 12, 1936

Dearest Honey-Pie -

'Queak! 'Queak! E-e-e-e! And all other joyful noises. Is there a possibility that you'll be my April shower and March lambikins? It's so wonderful to know that the worst is over. At least I hope so for your sake.

My poor little Peegee! How I wish I had been there to wipe away those tears. You have been through so much. I can imagine just how you felt. Anyway, I love you just the same, and more than I ever did. You have my whole heart, no corners for you! You are star boarder always.

Clark Bennett is all right, but as I say, his interests lie elsewhere.

Thank you heaps for the addresses. You did beautifully. I wrote them all tonight. Have five others to write. Am beginning to get quite excited about it.

Ethel Young invited me over for dinner tomorrow night and to a play at Adelphi. Don, and I think Dr. Kerr, are going too.

I am doing proofreading in the copy office. Miss Tankard still out. I take care of office. Proofroom seems very busy.

(Intermission for wine with Mr. Bolger and Mrs. Connor!)

Please give my love to all the Wheelers. I was thrilled with your letter. Am I coming to N.Y. to meet you? It depends on when you arrive. If you would like to spend 1st day there, could meet you in a.m. on Sat. Isn't it exciting? Don't have your bags heavy. Do you have to have two? Can you check them?

Heaps & bushels of love & kisses -
Jeanie

I wish I could get used to teeth for you. Hope they don't hurt. Poor Muddy!

Was surprised at Vail's wedding! Latin Boy good!

Would like to write Miss Hartley. Martha's address 299 W. 12th St. Apt 11G. Mrs. Warren Elsener
