Princeton Sep 13th 1876Dear Mother.
This is Wednesday evening. We met in Chapel this afternoon and had a short address from Doctor McCosh. Tomorrow our work will begin. I am feeling pretty well now. Am getting over my cold. It has troubled me very much since I came here. It has been in my head however. Horrie is here all right. He is going into a new room: one that is smaller and has a bedroom. My room-mate is to be here Saturday. Our room has been newly painted throughout and a new floor put in. It is real nice now. Had a card from Lillie. Thinks she will have pretty hard work, and that is just the thing she needs. Horrie says she is rooming with Ceil. [?] I am glad of that; for I have no doubt she is a fine girl. Her brother is a tutor here now and an excellent man. I am anxious to hear how Willie Henderson is. Have you heard? I shall get you a P.O. order for twelve dollars and send it this evening. Write more how you get along.
Your loving son
Robbie.
