South Hadley, Mass.
Office of the Registrar
1908-1909

The college houses will not be open until Monday, September the twenty-third first.

Rooms in the dormitories and in the village houses are supplied with rugs and all necessary furniture. Students provide their own desks, rocking chairs, couch covers and window draperies. All furnishings can be purchased in South Hadley at reasonable prices.

Each student who lives in a college house furnishes her own towels, blankets and linen for a single bed; also two teaspoons and a dessert spoon.

The cost of room and board for students accommodated in village houses is at the rate of six dollars a week.

No notification of room assignment can be sent to members of the entering class, as a definite arrangement of rooms is not possible until the last week of the summer vacation.

The suit required for gymnasium work consists of bloomers and a sailor blouse. While no uniform color or material for the suit is specified, dark blue or black serge is recommended. The suit may be made to order in South Hadley after the student enters the College, but it must be in readiness for the opening of the gymnasium on November first.

All baggage that is marked with the owner's name in full and Mount Holyoke College will be transferred promptly from the Holyoke station to the house in which the student is to live.
