Thursday,

Dear Bessie,

We got home yesterday afternoon. Gee, it was nice to get here. We started Friday night and I am pretty tired of riding.

Bessie, thank you so much for sending my things home. It was so sweet of you. I am all unpacked. Did you have enough money.

Last Thursday night I had a date with Ned. We went to the movies in Boston. Friday noon I had lunch with Anita Dustman in Cambridge and then I went into Boston and did some shopping. Friday night we started home. We spent the night in Westfield. Sunday night we spent in London, Ontario and we got to the Holsts [sic] in Michigan Monday afternoon. They have a lovely farm and they have hundreds of peonies that were in bloom. Some of them were as big as my face. The Holts have a river running in back of the house and there are some pure white ducks. I fed them their supper of bread that night.

It was nice to see Mother and Dad. They didn't seem any different. We started for home Wednesday Tuesday afternoon and stayed all night in Michigan right near Lake Michigan. It was so nice to see the lake again. We finally arrived home Wednesday night. I was mighty tired of riding by that time.

Yesterday was hot as blazes. To-day is hot too, but there is a wind blowing.

I received a letter from Robbie when I reached home. He didn't say much. It was a pretty short letter. I don't think he liked it much because I hadn't written him sooner.

Ginny, Helge and Sheila are coming either Sunday night or Monday. They are also bringing Henry, Helge's brother. He is awfully nice. Helge will go back at the end of the week but Ginny and Sheila will stay three weeks. Sheila has certainly gotten bigger since I saw her last. She walks all around and she talks quite a bit. She is pretty thin and mom wants to fatten her up.

College seems so far away. Do you know when we will get our grades?

It was very interesting to hear about the alumnae. I bet they had a good time.

How does it seem to be home again? There isn't much to do here. I haven't seen many people yet. The ones I have seen seem about the same. Come to think about it, I don't think I've changed any now that I'm home. Inky looked small to me. He came bouncing up stairs and jumped on my bed to wake me up this morning. He still barks like fury and he chased a man down the street this morning. How are your cats? Were they glad to see you? I am

I am pleased to hear you played tennis the other day.

I got a white sharkskin dress in Boston. It has a swing skirt and the wide, white belt has colored felt flowers on the front of it. Well, I guess I had better write Robbie now. It will probably take me a long time. I read his letters to Ginny & Helge & they thought they were very clever. Write soon.

love,
Sally

Thank you again for sending my things.
