My own dear little girl;--
Papa is going down to Epworth League and will post this on his way. Everything went nicely to-day. I didn't go to Church because I had an ulcerated tooth and my face looked as if somebody had hit me. Papa cut short the service and we went over to Dr. Devereau and he opened it up. He had filled it on Friday and it started to make trouble yesterday. Dr. D. is away on Saturdays so we phoned him for an appointment to-day. He could give me 12.45, so we made it in good time. It certainly did hurt when he drilled into the filling. Unless it should give trouble, I will not have to go again until Wednesday. I was delighted for I had been afraid it would interfere with our date for Tuesday. Dr. D. says he is sure there will be no trouble. Did you hear the foot-ball score? Brown beating Harvard and Columbia beating Yale. They have a new wonder on the Columbia team named Luckman. The reviewer says that he is finer than Glen Frank and that is going some. He made a beautiful 50 yard pass. I didn't hear the game as I was busy and it made my tooth feel better to keep going. I didn't realize that it was ulcerating thought it was nerve exposure. The countryside certainly looks beautiful. We bought some carrots and eggplant on our way home. Nearly all the vegetables are gone. Mostly cabbages and apples (crab) are for sale and peppers.
Will close now. it is time for Papa to leave.
Much, much love,
Mom and Pop.
