My Own Beautiful Princess;--

We are sending you some more cash -- $1.65 for slippers and $5 besides.

We certainly had a wonderful time visiting our Mount Holyoke Freshman. And we expect to repeat the experience very soon again. Every time I drive over those 76 miles, they seem shorter. (By the way, I succeeded in cutting down the distance somehow this last time to 75.9)

We haven't forgotten the notebook cover. But today just as we were going to look them over, the rain came down in "bucketfulls", and we didn't dare to get soaked. I took Mama in to New Haven, so that Dr. Devereaux could fill her tooth.

The Church is going to have a SANTA CLAUS BAZAAR in December -- and everybody seems enthusiastic about it. I looked at the committee last night and compared them with similar bodies elsewhere. There wasn't a Maypole among them; in fact, there was a noticeable lack of half-wits. It really seemed peculiar. Moreover there were no fights.

I must finish this quickly -- to get it into the mail.

Oceans of kisses and many huge bearish hugs

from Mama and
Pop.
