A Letter Written on Dec 1, 1938

Rev. Dr. William M. Nesbit
230 Portsea Street
New Haven, Conn.

Dec 1-1938.

Dear little girl:

Just a line to let you know we are O.K. Am sending by express either to-day or to-morrow, a laundry case - with clean sweaters etc. Papa is on his way to New York - to get the grabs - etc. for the Fair.

Will post this - en route.

Much, much love -
Bessie.

Papa bought a ventilator that will fit your window.

T.

[Bessie's mother is named Theodora. Since this letter appears to be in Mamma's handwriting, I assume she had an absent-minded moment and signed Bessie's name rather than Mamma.]
