New Haven, Conn.Dear little girl:-
Your suit-case came O.K. this A.M. and I have hung up and put away the clothes etc. It certainly was good to see the baggage coming along. Everything is going along fine. - To-night is the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of Watertown Church and Papa and I - (you also) are invited to the Dinner. Mr. Davis was disappointed that you couldn't be there too. I am pressing my lace dress etc. It is a beautiful day here. I am so glad that your vacation does not start on the 21st as so many of the State Colleges do. To-morrow, I will be busy - Ladies Aid in the P.M. and rehearsal for the Choir and the Pageant in the evening. Papa is looking forward to going over your work with you. He misses it very much -
Brownie got dug in the upper lip - and has quite a scab on it - I wash it with life-buoy soap - and to-day, I am going to paint it with iodine - His nose is cold and wet and the scratch don't [sic] hurt him, but it gives him the funniest look, as if he had a "Moustache." Will close now - and get back to fixing things.
Love from us all.
Mummy.P.S. I have your drops - you can leave yours at College[.]
[In Papa's handwriting] Brownie, Andie, Papa and the Fish eagerly await your homecoming.
