Dear Bess;-

Don't get too mad at Howard. Bear in mind that males are sort of dumb anyway.

He is sort of ath-a-letic just at present. Wrapt up in skating, football etc. - and sort of timid where the fair sex are concerned - doesn't know exactly what to do. He reminds me of that stage of boyhoood where one doesn't know what to do with his hands in public or when he ought to take off his hat - so he runs off and plays ball with "the fellers". I was that way once myself. - - - - - - -
