Dear Mama & Papa,

Just a few hurried words to let you know that I am O.K. The Religion exam was very fair. I enclose it. [no longer with the letter] Dr Adams wrote on my paper [...] that He liked it very much indeed and asked if I would mind if he kept a copy. I am going to do a very rash thing now. - I mean spending money. Sally & I are going to Springfield to see Gone with the Wind. I feel awfully extravagant but I have worked hard so here I go. Thanks for the brassiere and letters and food & everything[.]

Love
Bessie

P.S
Please keep the paper.
