Dear Mama & Papa,
Hello! I got the cookies this morning. They tasted so good. I had been studying Religion until I felt light in the head. Then I got your package. Thanks ever so much. I also got the labels. They will come in quite handy.
At the present moment I am mad enough to eat stones. I just got this letter from Howard. This is the last time I waste ink writing to "mama's little boy". As far as coming over to an ice carnival goes, he can continue to come over by himself and he will continue not to see me. I wish to heaven that I knew some half-way decent boys.
By the way, if it isn't too much to ask, I think I will be able to use up a little more food in this time of intense studying.
Here is one good thing about Howard's letter. I had a head ache when I got it and it made me so mad the head ache went.
Love,
Bessie
