Rev. Dr. William M. Nesbit
15 Frederick Street
Naugatuck, ConnecticutAdmirable Child;-
Are we tickled?
Are we proud?
For prize-winning Infant
We shout out loud:
Hip! Hip!! Hip!!! Hooray!!!!The news certainly made us happy. Not only are we pleased about the addition $100 - but also we are jubilant that youare so evidently making good in your work.
It was nice of Miss Hussey to invite you to ride with her - even though you do not feel that you can spare the two days. It would seem to indicate that she has a good opinion of you.
Palm Sunday was a nice day - real spring-like. [Handwriting changes from papa's to mama's.] We had a good crowd at the church - and 2 large palms at the altar stairs.
Have been busy all day - sending out the Easter Envelopes 200 of them - They are all done - Papa sends them in the morning - pre-cancels - Think it is a nice idea - about the spread - and we will bring up - some of the things - About Friday - we will get to South Hadley - as early as we can - in the morning. To-morrow night Papa speaks at Dr. Weiss's church - and Mrs. Shinn phoned Papa this morning that Mr. Shinn has the "Flue" - and would be take [sic] their communion services on Thursday evening so after the Service - we will go right to bed and get an early start.
We are going to New Haven to get your dresses from Howards - on Thursday morning. We want to get an early start on Friday so that we will be able to have plenty of time to get your dress. It seems so good to be going up to S.H. The car works fine.
Papa and I are so proud of you - but you know - without my writing it, only I like to say it over again.
Will close now - and go to bed. Will do your hankies to-morrow.
Good-night - with love from us all
Mamma.April 8, 1941.
