Dear Mama & Papa,
Greetings! Merry Xmas etc. We are having real winter weather here today. - - - quite a lot of snow and a very cold and cutting wind. Tonight we are all looking forward to Faculty show.
I handed in my Religion paper yesterday & was quite glad to be rid of it. I had one of the girls type it for me. I won't tell you about it now because I think it would be nicer to have you read it. I had my hair washed and set on Tues.
I am enclosing some pretty good jokes from an Eng. magazine. [no longer with the letter] I am reading "The House that Hitler Built" for history & it is very interesting.
Last Sunday night we had supper in Stelle's room. It was a lot of fun. Thurs. night I had Alice Jacques to dinner.
Would you possibly be able to send me some eatables? I'm starving. Also could you possibly get the dress with shirred waist ready soon, because I kind of need it for tennis. It just needs to be sewed a little around the waist & washed.
I worked awfully hard on the religion paper and I am dead tired now. We are going to have a Chem. blue book this coming Wed. - Please wish me luck.
My alarm clock has ceased to work do you think you could get me another Baby Ben. It is rather an important item in my college life. Please don't get a clock that makes a lot of noise because I can't sleep with one. I am borrowing Sally's clock at present but it is a very awkward arrangement because I have to take it down to her room after it has waked me.
The schedule for final exams is out.

The European situation has certainly developed into a real he-man's war.
The weather seems to be clearing and the sun is peeping out.
Thanks ever so much for the first day covers. The poem about Mrs. Roosevelt was very clever.
Audrey Flandreau has had some sinus trouble and one of the waitress in N. Rocky has Trench Mouth. She thinks she got it when she went skiing Spring Vacation. She has been isolated in the Infirm. They won't even let her use the telephone. What queer things you find at college. Please wish me luck at finishing up my work this week end.
Lotions of love,
BessieP.S.
Don't forget - I still want to get a job for this summer.
