Dear Mama & Papa,

Greetings! Thanks for the specials and for sending the sweaters which arrived O.K. on Mon.

The Faculty Show Sat. evening was simply wonderful with a lot of the older teachers including Miss Laird. I think it is the best thing of its kind I have ever seen.

Tonight is a big night for the sophomores for we are going to bring out our class song. There is going to be a little skit along with it which isn't so hot. We had a rehearsal for it last night - my chief comment is that the whole thing will not go down in history as a great achievement. Nevertheless most loyal 42ers will don white & root for the class.

I handed in my French paper today and was I glad to get it done. Tomorrow I am going to have a Chem. blue book. Please think of me.

I have hopes of being able to leave for home early just before lunch Fri the April 26 [sic] but anyway not later than three. It certainly will be nice to see the home folks again.

I enclose the jokes [and a poem about Hitler] I forgot to send in the last letter.

Our snow has all melted now & the scenery is a[s] springy as ever.

Oh I have a favor to ask - could you possibly spare from 3-4 dollars before Sat when I have to pay my half of the subscription to the Tribune?

I enclose the review of a book written by the man who lectured here at college. [no longer with the letter] The picture is of himself & was shown here.

By the way you have a hungry child.

Lotions of love,
Bessie

P.S.
This is the next to my last stamp.

A lot of people including Mr. Bailey are hinting that the Ger occupation of Den & Nor is just an Eng trap. What do you think?
