Dear Mama & Papa,

Comment allez-vous? Thanks for the swell food. Gee whiz I've been eating & eating. The Brownies are the most delicious I have ever tasted. The cheeze [sic] crackers are awfully good too. Everything is just wonderful.

Friday night we went over and watched Junior Prom which was a lot of fun. Sat. I washed my hair and studied and Miss Laird invited me to a tea at the Physics building for a teacher from the sister college in Madras India. She was very interesting & I had a swell time.

Thank you for the special and the check which I received this morning. The sermon this morning was very good. I have practically finished "The House That Hitler Built" and am starting in on a book about Russia by Maurice Hindus called "The Great Offensive". I am also reading the Odyssey for mythology.

I am looking forward to coming home, so much. Sally is blossoming into quite a socialite with dates Thurs, Fri and Sat night. We just got back from a nice walk. It was so refreshing - - - the wind blowing your hair about. I feel so warm & contented now.

Thanks for sending my tennis dress. I am going to make out my schedule for next year this week - - - just think a Junior. Oh I like the new stamp with the dancing nymphs a lot.

Must do a little more reading now & then retire.

Love,
Bessie
