Dear Mama & Papa,
Greetings! I'll be ready to leave at 3 on Fri. We couldn't make the earlier arrangement. I'll have to do a little work at home because I have a quiz and paper due Mon & a Hist blue book due Wed. I'm just dying to come home.
The house presidents have been selected and we are all excited.
I received a letter from Dot saying that the date she had at the big formal dance had invited her to the Junior Prom. I also received a nice letter from Aunt Emma with a check for two dollars. My N. Y. A. check also arrived & it was $7.50 - more than I expected because of the vacation.
The book I have been reading on Ger - is awfully interesting because although it was written in 1937, the author seems to see the possibility of nearly everything that has happened since then. He says for instance that he would not be surprised if Hitler should about face & make friends with Russia.
Paratyphoid is going around Campus in epidemic form. 83 out of 110 in Pearsons have had it and a trained nurse is staying in the building. 9 out of 17 in Le Foyer [French Language House, previously known as Byron Smith House] have had it. We have been asked only to eat in our own dorm etc.
I hope to make out my schedule for next year some time this week.
I must close now & do some French. Thanks again for the swell eats.
Love,
BessieP.S.
I'll be expecting you on Friday at 3 o'clock.
