7.15 P.M.My own dear little girl:-
Received your welcome letter in the afternoon mail - It has been a gloomy, icy rainy day here - and the letter was like a ray of sunshine. I am sorry that the plans are changed but the work is piling up. We sent out 250 letters this morning - and I have written the envelopes for the next and last letter which will go out next week. I wrote all yesterday until 4 P.M. Then dressed and went down to the Valentine Tea - given by the Ladies Aid. Then we came home - I got supper after choir rehearsal - just had a cup of coffee Papa went to the Valentine Party of the Fidelity - and I went to choir. He called for me - and then I cooked supper. Forgot to tell you - in the morning I made 3 lbs of fudge - for the Bake of the John Wesley Class - was I tired!! To-day my whole left leg - has pained severely from the storm. I certainly will be glad when the ice is over and gone - It is pouring rain to-night and the Sunday School is having a party. Papa is taking a nap and then we are going down to the party. We have had a cup of coffee and I will get supper when we get home.
About Sallie's present. I am sending to Vesters for the charm - and I am going to buy a silver chain for it - like the one you have. Could you write me the length of yours - and if that will be the right length for Sallie. If by any chance, Sallie does not go to her sister's and you want me to send something for the spread - just let me know.
Love - Mummie.
