Wee wee Lassie;- Hip-hip-hurray! Congratulations! Your special certainly made us happy. We also were glad to know that you had finished your trip safe and sound. We all had a wonderful week-end. It surely was good to have our little girl with us - even for a short time. I saw Sperry today and gave him the Zipps". I also saw Mr. Shattuck and got some wood from him to make cradles with.

[handwriting change; was Pappa, now Mamma]

I want to say too - that I was very proud when we received the good news. It certainly was fine. We went to Dr. D's - after we put you on the train. Then Papa went to the Epworth League Meeting. To-day I have been busy doing the necessary things. The envelopes came - think they are pretty. Will enclose a sample.

Papa preaches the Thanksgiving Sermon at Mr. Hance's Church. Will be very busy this week - getting things ready for the Fair. Only two weeks from this Thursday and Friday. How the time does fly!! Had such a lovely time for my Birthday. Papa as General Chairman of the Fair - has so many things to do. Glad you felt all right - at the time, you wrote us.

Will close now - and get ready for bed. So glad you sent the "special."

Good-night -
Lots and lots of love from Mamma and [Papa]

P.S. All the Banks close here on Thursday "Thanksgiving Holiday." Schools are open. One delivery of mail in.

P.P.S. Watch out for a little parcel post package that Papa is sending with this letter.

P.P.P.S. Papa obeyed your instructions and purchased a nice pair of brown gloves.
