Dearest Junior:-Have you sent the note etc. back to the Board of Education? If not - rush it along ως ταχιστα. The Comptroller's Office have sent me a reminder concerning my note to the College which was due Oct. 15. The check from the Board of Educ. should be paid on account of that note of mine as soon as it arrives. When you hand it in, be sure to have a conversation with Mr. Bump or Mr. Grant and tell him that you are applying for a loan from the College, to be applied on the bill. It is important for him to know this, as it is possible that he may be able to help it along. Speed is essential.
This evening we have heard Willkie (in N.J.), Dewey (in Idaho), Hoover, Samuel Seabury and Gen. Hugh Johnson. It was quite thrilling.
I enclose a return postal that came for you yesterday. [no longer with the letter]
Much love from adoring parents to adorable offspring.
Sweet dreams -
