Your most welcome card received by us, we were all pleased to hear from you.
Glad you are back a[t] college hope you will have a very successful year.
How is the weather where you are we have had rain for 3 days, and it is still raiing glad it didn't snow instead.
Grace church are having their fair tonight.
How is mother and dad.
Jim & Bill are well save for colds. As for me I am coming along nicely I know [sic] walk about the house without any assistance and with out my cane I get out nice days in the yard they had a railing put on the front steps that helps a great deal[.] They have to help me in and out yet but the Dr. says not for long. I now weight 147 lbs.
Well it doesn't seem that the holidays are almost upon us again.
I heard Marion Longyear was in the hospital twice but is doing nicely[.] Mrs Motz, Marion's grandmother was 90 yrs. old Nov. 1st
Marion Walker is working for a Dr. Duffy.
I don't see many folks of Grace so don't hear much news.
I hope my letter will find you well. Give all best regards to Mother & Dad, and lots of love to your dear self.
