Beautiful Princess;-

Just a brief word of greeting'. I have just gotten back from the Stamp Club - - after a rather lengthy meeting. However I have $1.85 in Exposition 5c that cost me originally 1 nickel. (I wish I had more of them!)

Saturday the temperature dropped to 47 - - which was quite some drop, seeing that it was in the 90s on Friday. Fluctuations like that remind me of Claymont.

One of the stamp club members who is Norwegian was telling us this evening about a friend of his, a Norwegian captain who has crossed the Atlantic eleven times within the last year - - and has been attacked each time. He says that there were 900 Norwegian ships at sea when the Germans invaded Norway. They received fake wireless messages from the Quisling gang telling them to put into various ports where the Germans would have gotten hold of them - - but not one of them was fooled - - and all the 900 are helping the British now, except such as have been sunk. When asked whether he is afraid, he said "Certainly not."

I took the shoes to the Service Shoe Store, and he wanted to know what part of the lining crocked. I told that it was my impression that you said the whole business crocked. Is that correct?

Here are some more stamps. [no longer with the letter]

Many B. Hs and S. Ks. Mama and I are counting the days.
