Dear little Girl:- Papa is making out a Church Report - so I am improving my time - with a few written lines. The Thermometer is 18° - but it feels colder than that. Papa and I are writing in the kitchen.

We went to the Dentist's this A.M. and came right home again. I still feel very tired - and didn't want to stay for lunch. We were home before two. The road was in good condition. Dr. D. went to N.Y. on Sat - and his car skidded - on the thin ice. Luckily - there was no car around - so after losing control of it - in 3 different directions - he got it going in the right direction again - and it did not turn over - He had his wife with him. He got such a fright that they just had their lunch at Schrafts at 42nd St and came right home again. They left at 10 AM. and reached home before 4 P.M. It just got his nerve.

To-night, Papa had to take some copy over to Dan - and on the way back - he had to detour up the hill - before you get to the Big Dollar. Policeman was detouring all cars - so we think something must have happened - either a fire or an accident. We will probably find out in the morning paper. Papa went to Epworth League - and I will make sandwiches for the Rally at our church on Tuesday. Here is a new joke.

Moral Problem?

Patient - Doctor, I have a bad headache. What do you suppose is the matter?
Doctor - Do you smoke?
Patient - No.
Doctor - Do you drink?
Patient - No
Doctor - Do you run around with the girls?
Patient - no.
Doctor - Then I know what is the matter - You must have your halo on too tight.

Mrs Bottorf's baby was born yesterday at 3. P.M. It was a boy and weight 9 pounds & 13 ounces - and they are both O.K.

Didn't we have a lovely time - this week-end - It was such a pleasure to look back on.

Papa is ready - so will close -
Good night - with love from
Mamma.
