Dear little Girl:

I am writing after a strenuous day[.] Last night Pop and I were afraid the Choir party would be a flop - but due to Pop and I sending out tickets - it was a success and we cleared 13.85 - and hope to make it $15.00[.] Wasn't that good? I think so. Janice Barrett was there - but getting crazier every minute. I sent a note in to Mrs. Barrett just before the entertainment - saying that she was needed at home. Janice said she would go with her mother - so Mr. Birdsall drove them home - and we got rid of her - very much to her mother's relief. The last time she went crazy and got away - she was gone for three days - and they found her in one of the worst dance-halls in Danbury. Mrs. Floyd told me that they are going to give her the insulin treatment, but the specialists at Yale - says she is incurable. So it remains to be seen. After the concert, we had our supper and went to bed. I was down at the church at ten AM. and Mrs. Mourey and Mrs. Bottorf and I - cooked the dinner for the men who are painting the Church. We cleaned up - and then Papa and I went out to get Mr. Curtiss's signature on a church paper. He has a dairy farm between Millville and Oxford. It was a beautiful drive - then we stopped at the Mohican - and purchased pigs' brains, and apples. We have had them for supper - and here we are. Have you seen about the application for the loan? Papa is bothered about it.

Will close now - I guess you are tired - you have had such a heavy week.

The quartette send all their love.

Mamma.
