A Letter Written on Nov 25, 1940

Monday - 5.P.M.
Nov. 25 - 1940.

Dear little Girl:

(Pop's Dictation) "It looks as if it would be best for you to come down again by train on Wednesday. Apparently the train that you would take leaves Holyoke at 5.06 P.M and stops at Meriden at 6.37 P.M. We will be waiting for you in Meriden. This train does not have any connections at Hartford for Waterbury. If it should be bad weather - or if by any chance you should be able to get off earlier - phone to us in the morning (Wednesday) and reverse the charges. We are enclosing a check for $2.00 [no longer with the letter] to cover your fare. Mamma says to try and get something to eat on the train - just to keep you from getting too faint - as we will not reach the "Front Page" until about seven and it is a pretty long stretch."

Love from your waiting parents.
