A Letter written on May 13, 1944

May 13, 1944

Dear Bessie,

I hope you haven't thought I've forgotten you as I've thought of you often but I am most ashamed that I haven't written you sooner. The truth of the matter is I misplaced your address and have just recently located it and am so relieved as did want to thank you again for the adorable pin you gave me. You were so sweet to bother and I was very pleased. Everyone admires it - it's so pretty and different.

I rather dreaded being home for so long but I find I have plenty to do and am busy every minute. I miss the office, however. Please remember me to everyone and thank you again, Bessie.

Sincerely, Mary
