Dear little Girl:-

Papa has gone out to see Mr. Calvert - so I am improving the opportunity. Everything went well to-day in Church and Sunday School. The congregation was not so large - as everybody that worked on the Fair was completely exhausted, even those who just attended it - and they had to rest up. Here comes Papa. Mr. Shelley told me a joke to write to you "Did you know that the Greek soldiers are the best paid soldiers in the war?" "They are getting 20 guineas a day".

Monday Evening -

A continuation - went to Dr. D's to-day and then gout our lunch - and drove out to Dr. Marion's. But he was out - so we drove home - I got the supper and Papa went to the Stamp Club. Mr. Elton exhibited his U.S. Papa said they were fine and such an interesting talk - Your coat is done, and Papa is sending it to-morrow - so you can be on the watch for it. It will continue to need dyeing but it will keep you warm - Radio says "Cold wave coming." Papa bought you a newt [?] to-day - to amuse you during the vacation.

Love from the Quintette
M.

Bought some new blue-black ink.
