11.30 P.M.Dear little Girl:
Papa has just come home from Waterbury - and I told him that you told me you were going to take the 4.14 PM. train from Holyoke. Papa says - if you will look on your time-table you will see some little sss indicating that the B&M train from Holyoke to Springfield runs Saturday only. and that the train is daily only from Springfield on. However there is a Greyhound Bus leaving Holyoke at 4.05 which gets to Springfield at 4.21 - plenty of time to connect with the train leaving Springfield at 4.40. Of course there is also the regular train that leaves Holyoke at 3.40. every day. Of course any of these will get you to Waterbury at 6.25 P.M. where you will find your loving parents with arms extended in greeting. If you have any difficulty finding them - ask anybody - if they have seen an intelligent and
cultuedcultured looking couple with expressions of seraphic expectation, on their benign countenances.Mamma (dictated by Papa.)
P.S. You do not need to reply to this letter - as we shall expect you in Waterbury at 6.25 any way you come. M.
