Ma chere petite fille;-
La mére a reçu votre cadeau et sa joie etait grande. N'est-ce pas aussi? Non solum illud sed etiam pater felix est.
Moreover your doting parents are rejoicing in the anticipation of one of the thanksgivingest Thanksgivings that is conceivable -- because forsooth our Chee-ild will celebrate it with us.
Have you found out yet about Catherine?
About what time shall we arrive at the Distributory of Learning?
"Tell me, tell me, I implore" (Poe: The Raven)
On Thursday evening Mama and I gave our Indian program at the Woman's Club. And it certainly went over BIG. We kept in mind our Holyoke Hot-Shot -- and did our best to live up to standard of the family. Mama wore her Injun costum, and I blossomed in tuxedo and nice clean shirt. She sang like a redskin angel and I made INTELLECTUAL REMARKS. Mrs. Doolittle read part of Hiawatha's Wooing very effectively. After the program all the women present told us how much they had enjoyed it -- and then they inquired about our daughter in college -- which of course furnished just the opening that we were awaiting. We had a lovely time.
Yesterday I took Mama to Dr. Dev's, movie (Dark Rapture), and chop suey.

But the real BIG TIME for us begins next Wed. Your loving Parents.
We are looking forward to meeting your new room-mate.

P.S. I have just directed 350 Thanksgiving Envelopes -
