Sat. April 26, 1941Mama is getting supper ready; so I take my typewriter in hand with the objéct in mind literary composition -- a letter to Our B-Plusser Junior.
Of course we shall be very glad to have you come down next weekend. I think it also very likely that I can arrange to drive back with you according to the program that you suggest. It would be a very delightful experience all around. We are looking forward to hearing your full narrative concerning Prom etc. etc.
I have some misgivings with reference to next year's schedule as you have it mapped out at present. I think it is too heavy and lacks variety. However we can talk it over when we see you.
Thursday I talked to the Stamp Club at Commercial High School on "Philatelic Ghosts of the Past." Several members of the Hillhouse Club were also present, including the blind professor. Later I saw Mr. Ziegler Sargent of the Sargent Lock Co., who spoke of remembering seeing you the time I took you to the New Haven Club.
Mama says it might be a good idea to write to Fred Mowrey or send him a nice card, as he acted as if his feelings were hurt the other day. Do it right away, as we don't want to have any of our friends disturbed.
How did the Religious Conference come off?
With all these ministers-to-be flocking around -- things are looking strangely familiar. (Now Mama will blush!)
Oceans of lotions --
Your ever-adoring
