Naugatuck, ConnecticutO Best-Beloved;-
Sun's letter arrived this afternoon - postmarked 730 A.M. today. So it came through nicely. Of course it was received with gladness. Last week was quite full. After putting you on the train Sun. we drive home and heard Charlie McCarthy. Mon. I had Stamp Club. Tues. divided myself between Epworth League and Finance Com. Wed., committee meeting at Episcopal Paris House. Thurs., Official Board. Fri., Day-of-Prayer Union Service at our church. Sat., John Wesley Class at Floyd's. Thus went my evenings. I enclose program of Union Prayer Service. Lewis, Hance and I participated. Had pretty good attendance.
It is not unlikely that we shall start a drive soon for $8000 to wipe out the church mortgage. Things seem to be shaping that way. A job for Father! Yesterday morning Mama and I got into the car - all dressed up for church. But the battery was dead. So Mama went back into the house, and I "hoofed it" down the hill.
Oceans of lotions!
